I spent the first night my newly acquired pre-owned Raven. Actually the first night in a GE. I was very impressed coming from the WBRR/hammocktent 90 degree world into the "dark side" of GE.

After a lot of contemplation I decided that the lightest weight hammock solution was the right one for me. Therefore I'm going with a Darien.
I spoke with Papa Smurf and he was awesome! My hammock is "in the works".
Glad to hear you chose a hammock. I think I talked Papa Smurf's ear off with all of my questions about hammocks in general and learned a lot speaking with him.
I was able to try both hammocks at the Florida Hangcon and am interested in the raven for the same reason, flipping sides through the night. I sometimes get shoulder pain sleeping on my side so I tend to flip throughout the night. I use the klymit hammock v pad and don't have a problem flipping at night. If you chose the sparrow you would be dedicated to sleeping on one side.
The net IMHO seals quite well after laying in the hammock and wouldn't let the net hold me up from ordering a raven hammock.
