Happy belated New Years!
Anyone else interested in a thread to record your nights in the hammock for 2017? There is an awesome thread already going but, for those of us with camping goals for 2017, I thought this could be fun.

My first hang in my new WBBB was last saturday night! Wooki worked perfect. Used a 0 degree bag as a quilt. Workin' on getting a TQ. I'm in for all 12 months in a row!! Bring on 2017!!!

I hung out in my back yard on Jan 6-7 during a snow/ice event and 21* low. I want to hang out at least once each month as well.
I never really thought of it as a "resolution", but yeh, let's go with that! Lol!

It'll be a stretch for me, but I'd like to get in on this. Last year, I managed to get out for a total of 9 camping trips that made for a total of 10 nights out (less than half of those nights were spent in the hammock). Now that my setup is complete, every night out will be spent in the hammock. Just gotta get the trips set up. If memory serves me right, backyard hangs count towards the "12 nights", but since I don't have a yard here, it's camping or nothing for me. On with the trip planning. I'll report as I go. Carry forth.

I have managed the 12 nights a year (once a month) for the last two years and am now hoping to try something new (setup, kits, or skill) each month. Maybe I could post my NEW thing
Get lost in the woods and find yourself again. A vacation,to me, is working with your hands and surviving because of the fruits of your labor. In the business world I teach;in the natural world I learn.
I posted a thread about doing something new each time. It didn't take off but I still do it, every month.

I just read through it and it looked to be an awesome thread! I took a hiatus from the site while we had so much going on bc it just made me want to be out but, the concept you have going is awesome. I need to incorporate that into my plan.
I did a once a month challenge two years ago and made it 15 months. Here goes to new trails and new hangs!

I wonder how it is we have come to this place in our society where art and nature are spoke in terms of what is optional, the pastime and concern of the elite?
