Put me down as another soldering gun guy, ground the tip to a point, cut on a board with a straight edge. Heats fast, cuts fast, welds the ends.

Dear Singer: I would GLADLY trade you back 15 or these 'fancy-a$$, what-the-hell-am-I-ever-gonna-use-THAT-stitch-for?' stitches for ONE little indicator light or SOMETHING that says, "Hey Mr. Grown Man who plays with sewing machines...yer bobbin's almost empty!"

    I sew things on youtube.
I don’t sew on commission, so please don’t ask. Thanks.

Scissor sharpening is a surprisingly easy skill to learn. YMMV..

Lay ripstop down and put magnets on other side of fabric opposite the ones you just put in so the they grab and hold it firmly.

Grab ruler. Measure. Make frustration free cuts with sharp utility knife razor blade. Be happy with your new cutting surface.

Need more room? Make copies of MDF platform board and tape together.
    That a great idea... thanks?

I am in the right place for that. Possum fur is incredible stuff. I am not sure how to use it for hammock insulation though. Spun with merino wool it makes great clothing. I am not sure about the weight of the result compared with down or climashield. I am contemplating getting a couple of pelts to make an pad to go into the foot pocket on the bottom of my top quilt.

    Of course!

Wrote that on my mobile BTW! Hope it came off as actually helpful! I reread it and the wording seems pushy. My bad - I really do love my MDF cutting surface!

It's weird but 9 times out of 10 my spidey senses start tingling when I'm close or I will run out at the end of a hem or stitch. But I'll start the next and no bobbin thread. Weird times I tell you!
