I made the DIY Gear Supply Winter Tarp

i used the DIY Gear Supply pattern to make this winter tarp. If you are interested in seeing how I made it (and how I ramble on at my sewing machine), I've posted some links.

Unfortunately (boo hoo, sob, sob), I will be exploring how to make repairs to a tarp soon, since my tarp got speared last night with some flying tree parts. Pup and I are in fine form, but my shiny new tarp got punctured. Repairs look cool, right? If your tarp looks new, it means you aren't camping, right?

I need to find a way to make patches for my tarp that are in various anadromous fish shapes.
Striped bass, American shad, Atlantic sturgeon. It could be so cool.

I've printed out the instructions and ordered (and received) the material in the parts list. I've watched jellyfish's videos and I'm going through them again (I'm a novice at sewing).

One thing I'm not so sure of though, is how did they arrive at just 10 D-rings in the parts list? I have ten, but it really calls for 12, n'est pas? Four on each side plus the four pull-outs. Or is there something I'm not understanding?

Chicks dig scars, I always say. Agreed. If your gear don't have tenacious tape on it, you probably haven't been using it. (Admittedly, I don't have holes in any of my gear, currently. I do use it, I promise)

4 for the sides, 4 for the doors, and 4 for pull outs.
