Chicks dig scars and tattoos. Fact.

It does add character. And my patch appears to be holding up really well.

I don’t sew on commission, so please don’t ask. Thanks.

Hi Jelleyfish, I've watched your first video many times and have started cutting my tarp.

I bought my fabric from Ripstop by the Roll, same as you, but I noticed that the width is 59", not 62". I'm curious if you measured the width of yours and if it's the same.

I am planning on cutting my first cat curve but because it's only 59" wide, I was thinking of making the depth only 3" instead of the 6" as you've done (as per the specifications). I'm not sure how it will affect the door if it's cut too short, but I want it to overlap enough to keep inclement weather out. What do you think?

Watched this series about a week ago.

I'm not in need of a tarp, but there were so many tidbits taken from your tutorial that apply globally.. Great job.
Yes, my pack weighs 70lbs, but it's all light weight gear....

My fabric was also ~59. It is still plenty wide. You can see me pitch it here.

I am on the extreme side of cold sleeper and this size gives me great coverage. Wind and rain have been no problem. Even my dog has been sleeping like a baby with me in winter weather.

Haha funny. To be honest, I let my husband pick. He chose the green silpoly and I picked the yellow to match my hammock.
