Official review of the Loco Libre Jungle Pepper UQ
I received our Jungle Peppers from George Carr last week, and just in time for HangCon 2017. I did not have a chance to do a test fit prior to heading out, but had a chance to take a look at the prototype and was positive that it wouldn't be a problem, and I was right. Both UQ's are 900 fill, 20 Degree with +2oz over stuff. The stitching in these is straight and very durable, even my mother in law who has been sewing for over 50 years was impressed.
These are currently the only UQ's specifically made for Clark Hammocks that I know of, and it makes a huge difference. Being able to attach the UQ not just from the suspension but the build in loops on either side of the Clark NX250/270 that we have ensures no movement/slippage at all. Being that these are 900 fill I ran more than a little warm, even throwing my TQ off of me, and to George's compliment even my wife who is always cold, felt a considerable difference. I storngly recommend Loco Libre Quilts if you're in the market for TQ/UQ, his quality is top notch and proven in the field without any worries of failure.
