Thank you all - I just had to try RBM1's rope hammock - I will say if you find just the right position it can be comfortable.
And Dave is right Harbor Freight Rope is stretchy as heck, but do the dog liked it I was at her level.

Well, I was out looking at REI's Hammock section and my wife went to 2nd hand store and came home with an $8 net hammock,
Love Her. Tied it up in the backyard looked a little short, bounced on it and it held. So I swung myself horizontally and while trying to pull up the sides - "Twang Thwit" one of the cords going between the netting and the ring let go - got off with my dignity in one piece and decided it must be a kid's hammock. Well, Dieting needs to happen anyway - this just reinforces it.
