Does anyone have one of these wide Zepplins? I'd like to know your thoughts on it.

I have the 48 inch version if that's what you are referring to. Mine is full 20 degree 850 fill M10 inner and HD 1.0 outer. This is a great quilt! You can't go wrong with UGQ. It blankets my 11ft Sparrow perfectly and the pack hook mod keeps the quilt pinned up against your shoulder by attaching to the underquilt hook.
Can you tell the difference in the added width?
I'm not sure I would have needed the added width. I think the 44 inch version would have suited me just fine. I never have to worry about pulling up on the sides of the quilt though so I can't complain

I have one of the wide Zepplins from UGQ and i have used it with my Thunderbird from Dream Hammock and it works perfect.
A Flight Jacket tq was the first quilt that i purchased from UGQ and the wife and i were so impressed with the quality and craftsmanship that we both ordered Zepplins.
So much so that i have either sold or are in the procces of selling all of my other quilts and tarps and sticking strickly with UGQ gear for both of us, same with our hammocks, it's Dream Hammocks all the way.
I have a full length 48" wide zepellin that I use with my Dream Sparrow which is 11' x 70". Love it. Great fit. If hammock were narrow I might not need wide version, but I love my setup and am willing to carry extra weight for the luxury.
I have both from UGQ. My 40 degree quilt is 44 and 20 degree quilt is 47 or 48. Personally I could get by with the 44. The 48 comes up quite far on both sides so a lot of it is not used unless you like to move around a lot.
I liked the idea of my winter quilt having the extra space so I can move around without worrying and my summer quilt being more minimalistic for longer hikes. Im not one to skimp out when it gets cold I would go with what feels better for you. Just imagine both and go with the one that feels more appealing.
I have an older 47" version and I like it a lot. I sleep in the figure 4 position often and the wide has plenty of room to spread out.
Potential is nothing without hard work.
