I think you should steer clear of the Chameleon if it leaves you Underwhelmed. wink....
    But I sure like it.
My state of "mild disappointment" at the release is because I thought when it released it would gravitate without trees and also magically add funds to my bank account.

As I continue to consider my feelings on this matter I may have developed unrealistic expectations.

Good point about the zipper on the Raven, I never thought of that. If the Raven had Dutch's zipper, would both hammocks be close contender for comfort?

Well, I have been really wanting a Raven and never even thought about zipper orientation being a potential problem. Do the zippers start at opposite ends of the hammock? If so, I wonder if the Smurfs could make one up with the opposite zipper orientation to accommodate us left lay folks. Other option would be to start both side zippers on the same end so that you could define a head end that would be convenient for both left and right lay.

On mine...and I did indicate head right/feet left....the zipper on my head side zips to the end by my feet. Meaning if i zip it all the way open by my head I have to reach way to foot end to gab zipper. Opposite on other side. I wish it was the other way around but it is not a huge deal.

Doesn't the sparrow fix the zipper issue? Wonder if you can get a sparrow/Raven combo?

What may be a problem for one person is a benefit for another. I've had "left lay" users say they very much wanted the left zipper slider accessible at the left shoulder and some say they would rather access via right shoulder.

Since all our hammocks are custom made, we certainly have the ability to reverse the zippers to suit your needs.

Well if Dutch wants to send me over a Chameleon for free as well I'll compare them to my future buys.
