Great idea. I love the versatility of the Chameleon.

I'm not familiar with the bushman chair. Assuming that your gear-bag hammock(?) will weigh considerably less than you, it's going to go way up in the air when you get in your hammock. It's just the nature of using a spreader bar. You'd probably be better off using a stake to pull the gear bag away from you.

I have used down to 25 inches and at that length the two people are resting against each other.
    Peace Dutch

Dutch, you need to work in some kind of "mantis"....they are amazing.

Seems like someone said you have some product called "the mantis" and it is coming out in 2 weeks.

Ahh, I see. The Bushman Chair is AHE's version of the T2 hammock chair Dutch sells, although, AHE's can hold over 225 lbs for us bigger-boys.

Will this system work with two clark hammocks without the hoops at the foot end?

[QUOTE=Dutch;1730238]Well I would put both loops over both hooks. It would probably be fine like the bridge hammock whoopie hooks but I like to pay it safe.[/QUOTE

Thanks, Dutch. May give it a try. If I do, I will post how well it worked (or didn't )

I have to admit that I didn't try it yet. One of the problems though is that after some time Kevlar gets twisted and it is just a very pliable material, I had dyneema get twisted in the Beetle this weekend at hangcon. It was a real pain toe get it untwisted.

The reason I haven't tried it is because I just don't have faith it will work.

I really respect you for that Dutch. You take the time to test and review your gear and don't put anything out until you know it will work. I may try my Kevlars out just for fun and see how it goes. I'll let you know when I'm done just how right you were.
