Does anyone know of any good hammock sites for northeast Florida? It seems everything around me is state parks.

I would check out the provide link for areas with camping allowed and then apply for a free permit if they are like other water management areas in florida.

make sure hunting is not going on the same time for your visit.
Moses creek conservation area off of 206 headed towards the beach. They have a primitive camp spot that's about a 6 mile hike from the trail head ( unless you take a shortcut and pick up the trail in the Shores neighborhood , then it about a 2 mile hike). My favorite spot to go. They have 2 spots with a picknick table, fire ring, and some benches. 20160604_195359.jpgFB_IMG_1461801949386.jpg

I've been there a dozen times and only ran into other people twice. Nice place for a day hike as well. Plenty of spots for a hammock break.
