One "tiny" thing I do is I have a color whoopie at the head end and white at the foot end. I do the same for my non-continuous tarp suspension. It just makes it easier to orient when hanging it from a bishop bag (stuff sack that opens at both ends).
I've had a thunderbird for several years and have never had a problem. I got it back in the day before vented covers were made. I had PapaSmurf make me an upgraded cover a couple years back. Great quality and value in all their work. You will not be disappointed. Also, he is very approachable and could give you advice as well. Don't be shy about asking him a question if you have one. He'll give you an honest answer.

    Congrats on a great selection!

Once you select the particular "bird" you're interested in from the hammock page, scroll to the bottom of the page and you'll see all of the add-on options. There are a number of them, so you'll have to scroll the options to the right to find the peak shelf.

    Hope this helps.
Thanks, I didn't realize that the add ons scrolled L/R.. It looks like my build will cost a bit more when I send it in..

Thanks for the tip - just changed the color of one of my amsteel loops ;-)

Looks like you got the full assortment of goodies added on, too. I'm sure you'll love it. Congrats!
