How's the down filling? Does it feel like it comes overstuffed?

With my recent experience with my UHK hammock which isn't overstuffed but haven't suffered from shifting down before last trip, I'm a bit worried down might "settle" after about a year or so and the baffles wont be filled any longer. I store all of my down hanging losely in my completely dry attic. If the cumulus isn't over stuffed, I'm considering asking for 20% extra down, although it goes against my UL principles...

Well, no one has cumulus uq for a year. I have a summer series from may, before they officially started to produce them. Dont see any down problems.

The loft in those winter quilts is amazing. It grows crazy when you take it out from storage pack. Its huge !

Yes sorry. I didn't cooperate well with words yesterday it would seem

What I meant is, does the baffles feel filled to the brim with down? It certainly sounds like it from your explanation of the growth

Reason I asked is cause I regret not ordering overstuff from UKH and I wouldn't want to make the same mistake again

I have 100gr overfill in my UKH. The down in cumulus has about the same loft even if the Cumulus quilt is a whole lot bigger. The down in UKH have an tendency to "migrate". In cumulus it will also move a bit..but a lot less.

The two quilts is quite different. UKH has "round" baffles that has the same height on the inside as on the outside(it's why the down so easy get compressed). Cumulus has flatter baffles on the inside and larger baffles (more height) on the outside..On a UKH it's more important with overfill..A cumulus with overfill will probably also get warmer but it is not as important as in a UKH since the down will not be compressed in the same way (due to the differential cut and baffle design).
