I agree, wouldn't trade the weather for anything. There is something nice about sleeping outside in the winter in MN. So still and so quiet. Completely different from the summer months.

Really enjoyed your video. I love camping along the St Croix River too. I did an overnight last weekend south of hwy 70 landing. Enchanting listening to ice crashing all night. Thanks for sharing your video!

That was a unique experience for me for sure. I just sat there for about 15 minutes just watching them.

Enchanting listening to ice crashing all night.

I wish I was closer to the river to hear that. There is a backpacking site by right the river on Old Military road I am eyeing up for another trip. I have been to that campsite south of HWY 70 Landing in the summer. That's on the Wisconsin side I believe.

It is a nice park near the Twin Cities. Worth checking out for at least a day hike.

Yep, the costco quilt gives me that little extra edge. Sometimes I bring a second and lay it across in the under quilt where my shoulder will lay. Of course then you have to tighten the suspension even more because of the extra weight. See you on the trail indeed!
