this is good idea, but how do I attach the 2 loops to cinch buckle system?
I put rings on my loops so I can attach various suspensions to the rings (which act as a break for water flow). For cinch buckle, The buckle has an amsteel loop and I garth hitch it to the ring. If I didn't have the ring I could connect it, loop-to-loop to the loop at the gathered end.
But I have another problem - probably just unreasonable fear - If I just connect to amsteel though the channel, I'm relying on the just the stitching of the channel. If I larks head though the channel. the amsteel is also grabbing the fabric. So now I'm being supported by the strength of hammock material, not just stitching. One the other hand, the weight ratings probably mean the stitching is designed to hold. Kind of a bummer if it doesn't.
I found this method useful as it allows for some flexibility.
