    I think for the gram weenies I'm interested in using something I already carry. Maybe now just hang my hiking socks over the ends. Usually hang them to air anyway..

    I used Arrowhead's rubber tarp protectors after rubbing my cuben tarp for about 3 inches putting super small pin holes in it then using Zpacks cuben self adhesive cuben tarp tape to repair. I am too hard on the cuben tarps so back to using the silnylon tarps. Arrowhead's protectors work like a charm.

    Interesting that all the reports of spreader bar damage involve Cuben Fiber.

    This isn't surprising as the CF traps are paper thin and that's why many like it for the weight savings.
