Continuing to play with the Beckett Hitch for connecting Kevlar straps to continuous loops or dog bones.
The Beckett Hitch seems to be without flaw... At least as far as I can tell. It's easy to tie and untie. Holds Amsteel to Amsteel, or Amsteel to Kevlar. Super quick.
The J-Bend seems to be born of the Marlin Spike Hitch, with a Beckett Hitch to finish it.
So tell me why I would want to use the more complicated J-Bend? What are the advantages to the J-Bend relative to the simplicity of the Beckett Hitch?
