There are enough clean sites on the upper side. Either no burn or minimal burn. I think the rain helped and I did not walk everywhere because people were camping up here.
    Come on!

I'm coming. I don't care about soot or weather. I'll hike the two miles down to the creek campsite if I need to.

I just like to be outside. I'm not bothered much by conditions.

Starfish Comet if you can come tonight--it's heaven. Friday night will have a low of 31? And Saturday night will wake us up Sunday morning with 26 to 31 and rain or snow? You're welcome to camp with us and we'll understand if you bail Friday evening or Saturday evening

I'm not sure if some of my Grandkids are coming or not. The youngest just turned four. And there is no cold like waking up in cold wet pee. I told my daughter Marianna to day camp Friday and go home after the bratwursts supper.

HaHa, that is me! One of these days I will have all my stuff organized, but for now I am a mess. I pack way too much for "readiness" and still forget stuff. Not that big of deal for car camping but really stinks after you hike in a couple of miles.

Well I guess technically the bag is named after me... but yeah, that's me. Uwharrie was my old stomping ground back in the first days of HF... that's where I went to test gear, or just for a quick getaway.

C'mon Deb. We need some female supervision. Old 4 Hats, Chigger, Groundhog and I have saved you some trees.

Lots of space in unburned areas, plenty of trees to go around. Wood has been delivered, dinner is on the grill.....been looking forward to this! Already tested my eyelids for light leaks this afternoon between 2 trees. Have 2 hammocks set up just because I can. Come on out & play everyone!!!!!!
