I Like Dutch's stuff and the WB cinch setup almost equally for easy/simple/beautiful. The cinch bug (Dutch) is great too if you just forget the weight of an all webbing suspension, (you have webbing only in all these suspensions) The WB cinch is two identically shaped metal parts (acting like double "d rings" but very non slip. (see it on the WB site)

For almost all of my DIY hammocks for family and friends I use the old simple steel cinch buckles available from many vendors. I use a multi wrap larkshead or prusik on the CL at each hammock end around the back of the buckle. CHEAP! Effective.Simple,
Check the book to make sure you are connecting the correct end on the steel cinch buckle.

Tinkering IS fun Dutch . You can learn so much messing with it all. Cabin Fever Fun.

Thanks, danah. I just ordered a set of titanium Cinch Buckles, straps, clips, and CLs to replace the set I just bought (up on the For Sale forums at the moment). Thanks for the tip on the old simple steel cinch buckles - I have some extra hammocks for my wife and friends that I've been considering swapping suspensions on - those would make a simple, cheap, and effective solution. But for now, I'd like to enjoy some of this Dutch bling everyone's been talking about (This is my first legitimate Dutchware hardware).
