Whoooo! you got it happening!

Even did the second one.
Learned quick to watch this closely - no big mistakes but my stitch drifted a tad a couple times and used a bit more of my seam allowance for the no sew in than I wanted - just in a couple small spots - learning lol
Argon is sewing nice
The glue is helpful
This will take time

“The nitrogen in our DNA, the calcium in our teeth, the iron in our blood, the carbon in our apple pies were made in the interiors of collapsing stars. We are made of starstuff.”
An odd quirk of unplanned "luck"
The no seeum strips I cut tonight with their built in seam allowance line up nearly exactly side to side - not exactly but close - makes keeping track not terrible
This will be a learning process for sure
I got my ink line and failed to order the ink lol

Off and running! This is great.

I sew things on youtube.
I don’t sew on commission, so please don’t ask. Thanks.
Good luck on your project. I am about to start my very first project and do a simple hammock, bug net, and suspension system.

I'm nearly half done with the first shell...
Couple things.
1) the glue was helpful at times but mostly made things annoying. I got it to hold nice once but then it bound up the material uneven lengthwise and I had to undo it as I went...so ditched that.
Then I found a groove by marking my next line for sewing using a purple disappearing ink pen and marked my like for sewing with that then just tracked along that line carefully taking time to keep my line.
No pins or clips used - I would set it up - then line it up with my right hand pinching the material together to hold that position then tracked straight.
This seems to work much better than I thought.
If I had that ink I would be even faster but this is working good.
I'm not sure how the attaching the second shell will go but it will be far more challenging lol

It seems also that with these 90 inch long baffles - it's difficult to make them a perfect straight line but I doubt it will much matter aesthetically or functionally....

I think they look great. This is huge progress today.

You are making some nice progress here, nicely done!
Quilts take a lot of patience and time, for sure. The reward at the end when one is done is worth it though!
Keep trucking!
