    Fabric Adhesive Recommendations?

    Is there any particular spray on fabric adhesive anyone could recommend? I want something that will adhere fabric but not get crunchy/stiff...need it to hold but remain pliable. Is there such a product out there? (Also needs to be able to hold up under extremely frigid conditions (i.e. forty below zero range.)

    How much material do you need to treat? Will the fabric be under tension? McNett Seamgrip is what I use for most fabrics. It's urethane based so it's piable when dry.

    I'll be treating eight yards in all. My friend and I will be adhering qiviut to Climashield...or we may adhere the qiviut to calendared HyperD instead. We are flying blind on this underquilt project...but a week from Friday the sewing FINALLY begins. Been batting this idea around for eons...how to make a qiviut underquilt.

    Is McNett Seam Grip a spray? Also, does it dry thoroughly or remain tacky? I need something that won't stymie the loft of the Climashield after it's been compressed for transport.

    There is a 3M spray that photographers use to stick and restick fabric, though I don't think it was created for that purpose. I don't recall the name at the moment, I'll look for it.

    EDIT: #75 Repositionable. As I recall I've also used #77, but it's not repositionable. Check it out:

    The 3M spray is good stuff. I've used both the Super 77 and the 90 with great success for bonding CCF to kayaks. I recently used it to bond 3D mesh to Robic 420D for the backpanel of a backpack project and it has held up to my sweaty back quite well. It's quite pliable, but I can't speak to crunchiness as I don't really crinkle up the backpanel.

    I have no idea what you're really trying to do with it, so I don't know how well it will work for your particular application. I would think that the Super 77 or 90 would adhere wool to CS quite well - spray both materials, lightly bond, and let dry. If you crunched it up before the adhesive dried, you'd probably have a mess.

    A couple more by searching amazon with "fabric spray adhisive";
    https://www.amazon.com/3M-38808-Head...spray+adhesive
    https://www.amazon.com/Therm-Spray-Q...spray+adhesive

    EDIT: Need to be careful though because some fabric adhesives are water soluble, intended to wash out after sewing.
