Hats off to you winter stalwarts!
Beautiful! You don't say where the pictures were taken. Slovakia? Carpathian Mtns.? Must have been a balmy winter morn based on how the gent with the bottle is attired ;-) -14F this morning and I'm happy my frosty stalwart winter treks are but fond memories...2006 Yellowstone NP:

Time to put another log in the wood stove.
Very nice! Can't think of a better way to bring in the new year!
Agreed. That's a nice way to spend New Year's.

nice, happy new year
Awesome! Looks like a great way to break in the new year.
Beautiful pic! I love the sun rises here at home in the winter....the way the sun reflects off of the flat, almost mirror like icey Chesapeake bay, with morning mist rolling across the water can be truly awesome at times.

I'd like to explore that landscape....thanks for sharing the old & the new.
Mountain views are good for the soul....& getting to them is good for my waistline.
