    Panel pulls or not

Just purchased the WD 12 membrane and don't know if I should add the panel pulls. This is my first tarp that is not sil nylon. I do use them on my Mamba from time to time.

I would say yes but I use mine every time I hang my tarp.

I used them 3 times on my other tarp. I decided I didn't need them on my latest build. I found I've got plenty of room to move around without them.
This likely won't be your last tarp build...so I say put em on.

If you've used them before and plan to use them again than yes. I have four and have never used them. I don't find them very useful for my needs.

I always use my pullouts. It's nice to have a little extra room especially when it's windy.

I haven't used mine for years due to laziness and not messing with extra cord. But after using them on my past few trips, I realized how nice they are...at least for the side that isn't up in porch mode. Great in the wind as mentioned above. And now that I have a pole kit...awesome!!

I have never used them but they do add versatility if you do need them. So it is down to how you expect to use it. If you hope to camp in inclement weather then being able to pull out the sides is a serious plus. If you have them you are not committed to using them all the time but Sod's law will inevitably mean that when you do think it will be good that you do not have the option. As you have a winter tarp I would err on the side of caution and get them. If it were for a summer tarp then you could safely dispense with them. The other side is that it is a selling point should you ever have to sell it.

Just added the pulls. Who has a tarp with this material? How does it setup and is it really that light.

I just bought mine with them along the same lines... Necessary? To each his own there. Useful, sure, not only as pull-outs, but also as another means of managing doors (of which there are other means). I figured if I didn't have them, I'd run into instances where I wanted them and once they are sealed they really are not a detriment to the tarp. So... Necessary?
