    Stomach sleepers

Hello, I'm sure there's topics on this but haven't run into any yet.

What do all you stomach sleepers do out there? I love hanging but always struggle to fall asleep. I find I wake up often too.

I'm a big stomach sleeper when at home. I have a Ridge Runner and find I can almost get all the way on my stomach. Any tips and tricks??

    Thanks!

The Ridgerunner is about as good as it gets. The only other hammock which may work is the Amok.

I don't use bridge hammocks but I've just learned to deal with it in my gathered end, I typically end up side sleeping as a sort of compromise because I can't fall asleep lying on my back. If you have to stomach sleep your best option is a bridge IMO

I think your right, I started with a gathered end and bought a Ridge Runner for that sole purpose. I'd love to try out an Amok as well.

I'm slowly learning to just deal with it too. In fact I've found that I'm leaning more toward a gathered end again. Although I love the flat lay in a bridge, I feel a little restricted when it comes to my crazy restless legs.

At home in a regular bed, laying on my stomach works best for me. But, in all of my gathered end hammocks (10 and 11 foot) I'm fine on my back or side. I'm not completely flat but I'm comfortable and don't flop around during the night like I normally do.

At home in my bed I sleep mostly on my sides/front, but in a hammock I sleep on my back great. Does seem to make me snore tho.

I was able to sleep on my stomach in my ridge runner. I had an inflatable pad in it. It was like laying on a cot. I don't think I could do it comfortably without an inflatable pad. I'm mostly a side sleeper though. The Amok allows for belly sleeping pretty good as long as the pad is fully inflated.

The HammockTent 90* series of hammocks will allow you to sleep on your stomach.

The wife likes it when we hang side by side so she can jab me in the ribs to make me quit for a while. When we hang 10 ft apart she has no such luck and either has to deal with it or get up and poke me. I sleep so deeply in a hammock that I never notice. I have realized that since switching to a hammock for the back country I often fall asleep on my side at home, but wake up on my back.
