I'm a hammock newbie

Greetings,

I've been a backpacker for 45+ years but new to hammock camping actually never have hammock camped, just got a new EMO Double Nest for Christmas, I'm sure after milking and poaching good info off this forum what I have now will probably be changed out for lighter gear just like all my backpacking gear gets changed out for better and lighter gear. I live in Walnut Creek, CA. witch is in the San Francisco bay area (native born and raised) I do all the local bay area backpacking destinations, Point Reyes, Big Sir, Sierra's, sections of the PCT, JMT getting this hammock for Christmass is going to add a whole new and dynamic to my backpacking trips.

Hopefully you end up liking the forums, I've learned a lot. I started knowing nothing about hammocks, and came here to ask questions. Now I mostly stay around here to answer questions, and try and help people out.

It's a really helpful forum, one of the better ones I've been a part of. Over the years I've been very active in quite a few different forums (cars, trucks, ect), and this one is one of my favorites, it's the only forum I'm really a part of any more.
