    Newb from Illinois

I used to hammock hang years ago, mostly bridges that I made.

Getting back into it since I'm tired of sleeping on the ground.

Hah "tired of sleeping". That's one of the reasons I'm so thankful for a hammock. Short of an air bed, I'm always stiff after sleeping on any kind of pad even doubled up.

Welcome to Hammock Forums. The bridge hammocks have come a long way. Check out Warbonnets Ridgerunner. It's a very comfortable hammock.

Welcome neighbor....I'm just north of you a bit near Crystal Lake but work in the Aurora area. Nice to see a fellow Chicago area resident join the site.

Hi neighbor. Make sure you check out the “Hangout Campouts and trip planning/Midwest” threads.

There will be a several get together each year in the area. Good to meet other hangers.

So many hangers right in the neighborhood. Lived in Algonquin and LITH and now in Lakewood. Good to know there are other hangers nearby.

Here's a pick of our first snow a few weeks ago...out in the backyard.
