Welcome from west central Minnesota! I managed to get out for a couple nights on the SHT last summer. Can hardly wait for this coming summer to see more of the trail.
BTW, I also like sintax77's videos. He does a great job on his hiking vids.

    Hey EarlyBird,

I'm also a newbie on Hammock forums and from MN as well. Doors on a tarp are awesome I must say. I have a Warbonnet Superfly, you can't go wrong. So many great options out there.

Welcome to the forum. I consider myself a part-time Minnesotan...my wife is from Edina and we spend quite a bit of time up there from Nebraska. Most of the camping I have done the past few years was in MN. I did a week on the SHT myself last fall.

As far as winter tarps, yeah the options can be a little overwhelming. I just recently settled on a Warbonnet Superfly. It has the doors, provides adequate coverage, is lightweight, etc. Maybe check that out and see if it suits your needs.

Just picked up a Kammock Kuhli... from the few that own them I hear nothing but great things.
