Very nice video! Clear and to the point

Regarding the gaps along the sides a channel with shock cord can fix it however adding it now can be a bit tricky.
Option 1 if it was made from the start.
    Channel.JPG
    Option 2 add-on.
Sew a tube and invert it. Sew it onto the edge of the UQ.

Jellyfish, great project! Do you have any photos of how you closed up the gap when flipped the quilt right side out? I understand the principle just having a hard time making it look good

Pin it up so that the seam allowance is tucked inside.

Put your needle so that it is close to the edge of the fabric.

    Finished seam.

JF, your tutorials are just the best. So clear and well done, they're really a nice asset to the community. #teamboxedcorners

This might make sewing the webbing on the ends a bit more difficult, but maybe not?
Do you see problems with this?
In fact, that's how I do it, but I wouldn't cut out the squares. The lines that you cut on are actually where you need to sew, and the little triangle of fabric that is left over doesn't hurt anything. Instead of cutting out a square on those lines, just mark them and then mark the diagonal from the corner of the fabric to the corner of the square you just drew. Those lines are the ones you'll fold, and then sew. If you look at post #7 in this thread you'll see what I'm talking about.

One word of advice that kitsap and I were discussing in that thread in posts #28 and #29, when you're sewing along the "square lines" to box your corner, stop before you get to the edge of the fabric. If you're doing 1/2" seam allowances, sew to maybe 3/8" from the edge. That way, the sides can flare out to attach to the seam allowance of the liner.

I like the idea of the Clew system with the Kam Snaps. I hope to make one using this system this winter. One question, what size Kam Snaps and are they standard length or longer?

    Thanks

Jellyfish...I just finished making your Clew Suspension Climashield Apex Underquilt, and I want to thank you for providing such clear and helpful instructions in your blog and videos. This was my first "complex" sewing project, and it went pretty smooth for the most part. I followed your video step by step the whole way, I'd watch a step in the video and then go do it.

The underquilt turned out great!. Here are a couple of shots of the quilt on my Blackbird XLC and Tensahedron stand...

My next project will be the Nova Hammock.

    Thank you again!!!
