VIDEO: SW Coast Path, Devon UK October 2015

This has been languishing on my hard drive for far too long. A little overnighter from when I was just starting out with hammocks.
Went westwards from Lynton to Parracombe, via the Valley of the Rocks, Woody Bay and Hunters Inn. Not a long trip, 19km (12 miles), but I was toting 18.5kg, 40lb. It's been an enlightening year for me (and a lightening one too), last month I went out with a pack size less than half that... and a correspondingly lighter bank balance too!

(20 minutes of me bimbling, concise version in next post)

Nice Video! That was a heck of a save with the stove when the Hammock went down!

Thanks for your video--beautiful land and a great save--you hardly broke stride and had chow from your hammock. I can't reach well enough and low enough to have coffee from hammock--hats off to all who can!

Yer, despite how it looks, I wasn't in danger of falling on my stove. I just hadn't accounted for the steep slope sliding me towards it!

HA! Good luck with a tent on that first campsite! Good job catching your fall on film haha! The whole breakfast scene was very interesting. Hopefully you've got that worked out a little better now! I haven't ever seen much of the UK's back country- thanks for sharing!

Enjoyed the video and am happy that things turned out as well as they did after the suspension let go, and the Badgers did not steal anything during the night! That was some really beautiful scenery along the coastline too, it sort of reminds me of Robin Hood Beach along the North Shore when I (once) had the good fortune to visit the U.K. Again, thanks for posting and I'll be looking forward to the next adventure.

Beautiful area to hike in! **** that fall was close to that stove, yikes! That could have ended very badly right there.

Always good to see another countries..... countryside. 😎
    Especially through a hammocker's eyes...close calls & all. 😀
Mountain views are good for the soul....& getting to them is good for my waistline.
