    Down quilt storage question.

I have a few tq's and uq's I have made and I've read that they should be stored loosely in cotton bags. Any reason for the cotton? Would any breathable fabric work?
Any recommendation on the type (I guess weight?) of cotton fabric to use?
Thanks for any insight, I know it's kind of vague but I don't know the correct questions to ask...

any breathable fabric works. My Marmot 850FP 15*F sleeping bag came with an oversized mesh bag for storage.

Find something cheap and sturdy. Old bed sheets should also work

I store mine in a big plastic bin. Plenty of room to decompress.

Both HG and UGQ sell Quilt bags on their site. The same one they place the quilts they sell in as well as a stuff sac (That I have never used). I purchased one from each, prior to them being included in the Quilt sale. I really like the loop string and slip collar that you don't get with a pillow cases. Up to you and others; but I felt the price for these were cheap to protect the price we pay for down quilts.

Same here but you do want to make sure they are completely dry before doing so.

I could not agree more. I use the quilt sacks from you UGC.
