    Thoughts on V2 Trifecta Tarp/Bivvy from 2GoSystems??

I've heard about this product as an alternative to SOL's escape bivvy. Other weighing a hefty 15.5oz, I don't know what to think about it.

I currently have 30*F and 45*F sleeping bags from Alpine Designs before Sports Authority closed its store near me. Thinking this bivvy might keep me warm during 30-35*F hammock-camping when layered...

Can I get some thoughts from y'all, seasoned campers?

It's Tyvek with an aluminum coating. While Tyvek is technically "breathable," I would expect it to be less breathable with an aluminum coating. I would personally anticipate condensation when used as a bivy bag.

I'm hoping not to cover my head with the bivvy since I have a merino wool balaclava and beanie as well as hooded sweater if it gets tough. As for base layer, 400g merino wool and regular clothes as needed. Merino wool socks as well. Hoping to layer both sleeping bags.

Since I'm car-camping, a blanket over the CRL on top of bugnet. I have no backyard for testing..

Think condensation would still be an issue?

Pardon my ignorance since I have little camping experience, but isn't condensation caused by moisture against a barrier that experiences extreme temperature differences? I believe the aluminum of the bivvy (like emergency blankets) would reflect more heat than absorb, thus minimizing the effects of condensation as long as I'm not breathing directly onto it. Unlike emergency blankets, this is supposed to breathe better..

The tyvek just keeps the exterior more durable and water resistant.
