WB Blackbird 1.1 Double Layer for WB Blackbird 1.1 Single Layer

Long shot, I know, but worth asking...

I have a Warbonnet BlackBird, 1.1 Double Layer in dead perfect condition and would like to switch to a 1.1 Single Layer in equal condition. I would consider an XLC in 1.1 as well. My 1.1 DL can't be distinguished from new except for the reflective shock cord upgrade on the side pull outs.
Yes, my pack weighs 70lbs, but it's all light weight gear....

I'll trade! Have a single layer 1.1 WBBB I got my oldest daughter for Christmas. Got it here from another member who'd bought it for back up when she hiked the AT, but had never actually used it since she didn't end up needing a backup hammock. My daughter just opened the gift today, and turns out she would've preferred double layer! Her BB is also in pristine condition! PM me your info and we can swap!

My daughter is curious why you are wanting a single layer instead...

    Happy Holidays!

    Thanks for considering the trade.

I originally bought my Blackbird this time last year from a member here on the forums. it was a speculative purchase and was part of a package deal with a MamaJamba tarp. I've used it for one season.. about six to eight nights in it total. I've used it with a CCF pad a few times but since I only get to go out in warm weather, a single layer will serve me better.

I have the newer version of the Blackbird with the foot box made of noseeum. the older ones had nylon for the foot box.

it's dead perfect.. no rips, pulls, stains or smells. I have the original stuff sack. I've changed the side pullouts to reflective shock cord with prussik knots to adjust the pullout length, which I can leave on or not. I currently have continuous loops of dynaglide with loop aliens on them, which I would like to keep. I have another set of continuous loops in yellow and blue Amsteel, or I can make a new set out of dynaglide if your daughter wants. The ridge line is the original gray Amsteel.

As long as the Ti Loop Aliens are in stock, I can leave those on the hammock as well.

if your BB is in the same condition, with stuff sack, I'll be happy to trade.

    cheers!

It looks like the Ti Loop Aliens are still in stock. I can leave the Dynaglide CL's and Loop Aliens on if you wish. If you decide you want then LA's I can include a set of Dynaglide leaders to match the CL's. The leaders have locked brummels on one end and a finished bury on the other and match the CL's. I use Dutch's kevlar tree straps and a MSH to connect the leaders. Or, I can swap out the CL's to the Amsteel loops and you can use your current suspension.

Let's be sure the rest of your suspension is in order and then I can be good to go.

    We can simply mail simultaneously.

Excellent! And, yes, the hammock we are sending you has the original double ended stuff sack. The hammock is in perfect condition. Shoot me your address in a PM and I'll mail the single layer Blackbird to you tomorrow morning. Let me know what you find out on the loop aliens.
