    Possible hack?

For a few days when I click on any link to a for sale tread in my for sale email I am redirected.
It only happens on the first selection each day. After that all the links, even the one that resulted in the redirect work fine. I don't click on links in other emails so don't know if it is on my end.

Posted edited by mod (O&B) to remove suspect link from first sentence.

Do not open this link in the quote below it is there only for the admins to view.

It's not happening here. I suspect you have a bit of malware. I would suggest a scan to see if you have been infected.

Working on that now. FWIW I forwarded the for sale update email to myself and did not get redirected. Does not happen on my ebay updates either. Thanks...

That link is showing up as hostile on virustotal.com - you should change the URL to something invalid so people don't click it and download the same malware you already have.

I've had similar issues when I google a subject and click on the link to hammock forums there rather than coming directly to the website and searching. I dont know that this info will help the mods, but hopefully it does.
There are two kinds of people in this world. Those that can extrapolate from incomplete data.

+1 on this. Sorry if I'm being redundant and everyone is already aware.

Haven't clicked on the link originally posted and it does it from google links on separate computers, some of which I've never used on multiple different browsers (mobile - dolphin and chrome browsers, desktops - IE and chrome)

This exact situation has happened before (a number of years ago IIRC) with the same page redirection.

    adding prior forum thread:
    https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/...st-couple-days

    Windows 10 & Windows 7 - IE 11 version 11.0.9600.18499 (two separate pcs)
    Chrome on Win 7 - Version 54.0.2840.99 m
Mobile - Chrome and Dolphins most up to date versions.

Guys, do not click on the original link as it's part of the issue. It's a download link to malware.

Bingo. This has happened to me too.
“The word hammockable (Meaning: two trees that are the perfect distance apart between which a hammock can be hung) is not in the dictionary, but it should be.”
