How do you attach a sheath to a backpack strap? Ppl mention tekloks but I'm not a fan. I guess zip ties or cord tied really tight to the webbing on a shoulder strap?

I like my Buck Mini-Tool (no longer made) just because of the pliers, which I use to move my hot mug-pot off the stove. A useful 1.1 oz.

    I have this...

The plastic sheath has a clip that will attach to a belt or a strap. I often hang my knife on the side strap of my pack, like the compression side straps, or sometimes the belt straps.

I have the light my fire version of the mora with the plastic sheath. I have also hung it off of a strap before. The knife clicks into the sheath pretty solidly, so it is highly unlikely to fall out.
