Foothills Trail and Chatooga River Trail

Due to widespread issues with water and fire along the AT, we went back to the Foothills Trail in SC. Oconee State park to Ellicot Rock and out by the fish hatchery. Lots of fun, good hammock weather. nice and cold with plenty of water and no forest fires.

It's not a phone app, its Delorme's TopoUSA software, it came with the PN60 GPS, along with all the topo maps of the USA. Normally when I'm on the AT, I just use the ATHiker app, but on other trails, I'll take the GPS. It was pretty helpful in this area. The FHT map is missing a few key side trails and spurs, that I have on the GPS because I walked it before.
