    New Shop @ Arrowhead Equipment

We worked late every night through the weekend to get the last work on the new shop finished. And after very long month of remodeling we are finally running full production in the new AHE Headquarters.

    Late last night.

A lot of work has gone into the new AHE shop, from all new LED lighting to all new work stations. We have all new fabric racks, new webbing and top cutting table, new cleaning table, new shipping department from top to bottom.

And I treated myself to an 8 foot long splicing table. Going to make a lot of whoopie on that table........slings you dirty minded people, whoopie slings.

Pretty much everything has been upgraded from the ground up for how we make and process orders. There is still a bit of work to get finished in spots here and there....need to get the kitchen/break area set up but that should be done later this week. And down the road we will set up 2 more sewing stations on the main work floor, a photo studio for getting shots of hammocks, quilts, tarps and all the other gear we produce as well as lots of storage. We have a 1000' square foot second space in the building that we will be leasing out for a few years until we decide we need that room to grow another step without having to move again......I hope it's a very long time before I have to pack all of this gear up and set up again...It's been a long month.

So the main news is that the new and much more streamlined shop will let us process and produce gear even faster. Today (very first day of making any gear in the new facility) we cranked out 15 orders start to finish -> out the door and have another 6 prepped to start the morning tomorrow with. All in all we should be much more efficient and get gear made custom faster than we have ever been.

Thanks ABoyd. Been a long time coming....as soon as we started looking for a building I started to "see" what all was wrong with how we had been running things. Perspective, it sneaks up on you.

Thanks Silver. Months of working on the building purchase gave me lots of time to think about how to set things up and re-organize the production flow. Greased pig in a Jello wrestling ring now.

The Yellow things on the ceiling are retractable extension cords. Keeps us from needing to run any cords across the floor to power the work/sewing stations.
