I have always carried at least 1 (up to 3) wool blankets with me when I hike, camp, or go into the woods for any reason. They have fantastic insulative qualities (wet or dry) are tough and can be multi-purposed (insulation, shelter, ground pad, hammock, carry-all, etc. BUT...They are heavy and bulky. I can't seem to convince myself to leave 'em home. Opinions????
