Has anyone else seen the Nube Stratos from Sierra Madre Research? I already have their Pares hammock, and I like it quite a bit. Anyway, it seems like an interesting set-up. I found it on Kickstarter and backed it, so I guess I guess they'll be sending me one sometime in April '17. Just curious if anyone else has ponied up for one of these?
Yes I bought one as well. I wanted one for a tropical trip and this does fit the bill. I thought about the twin hammock option but opted for the solo version.
Yeah I just back the Kickstarter project... can't wait to test it out. I'm in Ghana West Africa so it should be ideal for bug protection out in the jungle here.
Will I ever use a tent again?
For anyone who's considering buying one of these, I just got the bug net, and it's awesome. Cavernous interior, great zippers, and not too hard to set up. Gear stash in the floor is helpful too. I already had a Hennessy Hammock Symmetrical Hex Fly, and the two integrate just fine. No need to buy the stratos tarp if you already have one you like.
