    Hello from Connecticut!

Hi All! Pleased to join HF and I'm looking forward to becoming a part of the community. I've been making the transition to the trees this fall and I'm not looking back! Don't know why I didn't figure it out sooner. I started out tying an old wool blanket with a couple beckett bends and have now graduated to an actual hammock! I'm still using my home made underquilt (a sheet of tyvek with a nasty old sleeping bag gorilla taped to it...actually works well, but too constricting. My new HG Incubator should be arriving any day! I'm in Southern CT, and don't know another soul who is doing this, so I'm going to be leaning on you all for some good advice!

    Hello from Connecticut!

Hey Rick. Welcome. I'm relatively new here as well. I'm up in Plainville and glad to see another CT hanger. There don't seem to be many of us on the forum. I'm always up for a hike and hang if you are looking to get out with company.

Hi Tom. I KNOW!!! When I tell people around here I'm hammock camping, they look at me like I'm speaking gibberish. Thanks for the invite, that sounds like fun.
