Howdy all, noobie here from the UK.
Most of my hammocking is done underground when I go caving etc, but nothing beats swinging in the woods too!
I look forward to getting involved

Hello and welcome from Marietta GA.
I guess you could hook up to this stalactite over here and that stalagmite over there...
Happy hanging!
Welcome from Oklahoma! How do you set up the anchors? Do you use cams? Get some pics of your next underground hang, I'd love to see it.
Welcome! I suspect you may have some interesting perspectives to share.
Welcome from far West Texas... I'd love to see some photo's of how you setup underground. It might help those of us who live in "tree-less" areas . Glad you join us .

Thanks for the welcome guys
There is a few ways you can anchor.
But the most common is to drive a sharpened steel rod into the wall (imagine a steel pencil, around 12mm thick), then side load from that.
You can buy proper climbing pittons, but Ive never had the need.
Other places you can just use very long eye bolts, find a crack, wiggle it in, and again, side load from that.
Some of the places I go, I keep going back to (Paris Catas for example) and here, Ive chemfixed some 17mm bolts with big washers, so I dont need to carry my rods and hammer.
You can just about make out my 'pitton' here, with the crab hanging off it....
And here is a couple of other pics...
And yes, the above pic is 25metres under ground!
Ill be sure to get some more detailed pictures on NYE when Im back under

Awesome! I wouldn't have a problem hanging in a cave at all.
