Wide Streamliner from Simply Light Designs. Does it defeat the purpose?

    Hello,

I am seriously considering purchasing a Streamliner in 1.6 Hyper D XL at 72" wide. Would this still allow extra fabric on the sides just like most GE hammocks? Will it allow a more diagonal lay? If anyone knows about this wide type of hammock, what are your impressions? Thank you!

I made a 10' x about 72" Streamliner, using the same cat cuts as on my Streamliners from Jared. I don't like it! While it makes for a slightly more diagonal lay, the other benefits of the design are gone. Deeper cat cuts might help, but would most likely end up close the the standard width fabric dimensions.

I would contact Jared and see what his thoughts are..........

Thanks Goobie for the advice, it makes a lot of sense to me. I may see what Jared has to say, or I may just buy a regular width streamliner because it seems to be what I am looking for.

Thank you very much for the offer! I would really like to try your hammocks out, it would be the only way I would know for sure if it works for me. I am going to try to make the hang this weekend, but I may have to do other things. Now if I could get all my "other things" done after work this week, I will be there. Trying out your hammock has motivated me a lot!
