    Tarp Pole Mod Kit

Does anyone know anything about the Tarp Pole Mod Kit being offered as an accessory on Warbonnet's website? I've made my own in the past, but if Brandon is offering a kit for $15.00, that's a great deal.

I was wondering about that too. I've always skipped the side pullouts due to lazyness. But I think it would be nice to have some extra space especially when the wind is blowing the walls in. It would really depends on the pole length and weight for me. I'm guessing the poles break down into half of the 56" length?

I don't have a continuous ridgeline, which the dutchware mod seems to need, so I've always passed on that one.

Hopefully we'll get more info soon.

it is crazy that it is available on the website for a smoking deal but there is no information about the product! Come on.

That price is great. I paid 4xs that for my WL set!

I've always just used some sticks I find or my trekking poles if I can't find any. I have line from the panel pull tie-outs that I connect to the trekking pole or stick and it's good to go.

I'm pretty sure this product is like the dutchware poles that go from side to side, over the hammock. No need to rig lines.

But the method you mention is of course easy and practically weightless.

I was tempted especially for the price. But given the time of year, I'm afraid my finger will unleash some wicked one-click fury anytime now and it could get ugly $$$$$$$$$. Must resist all urges!

Sorry it's a new item, we didn't have time to get pics up before friday

It is the popular pole mod that is 2 poles, each pole being made of three 18" sections. Connection to the tarp is via a small black piece of webbing with a grommet in one end for the pole tip and a micro biner in the other which clips to the panel pole. We're not using the Easton Nano poles...I sent them an email requesting pricing and waited a couple weeks for a reply so ended up ordering poles from the place that makes our RR spreader bars...so a set is an oz or two heavier than the mods people are making with the Nano's. They did finally get back to me like month later though, but the order was already placed.

Price is the BF sale price that is good through end of the day today

CRL is not required. Many of us prefer to use the crl in the belief that it may help prevent the poles from rubbing on the fabric, thus preventing damage. I suspect this is just wishful thinking. To my knowledge there is no documented cases of such damage, but I could be wrong.
