...ok, I couldn't wait I went ahead and ordered a set. More fun toys for adventures in the great outdoors. Thank you Brandon! I'm really enjoying your expanded offerings on your site.
You're sort of talking me into this! I just bought a cuben tarp for 3-season, but decided to keep using the Superfly as my winter tarp since it gets lower to the ground. The extra space is tempting.
Yea, great deal. Sold!!
I would rather be in the woods... my dog would rather be in the pool. My wife thinks we are both nuts.
“The word hammockable (Meaning: two trees that are the perfect distance apart between which a hammock can be hung) is not in the dictionary, but it should be.”
You talked me into it. Done!
I keep going back and forth on a new winter tarp, but I decided to stick with the Superfly. Cuben Palace is WAY too big packed (and expensive). The SLD Winter Haven looks nice, but I'm not sure yet.
Looking forward to trying this out. I don't want to add yet another thing to pack, but worth a try for the price.
I added a dyneema ridge line to run above or on top of my SF as I noticed the poles would sometimes compress the grosgrain enough to roll it over and set on the silnylon. It can be removed easily if I don't need it, but it doesn't add any weight to leave it. BTw, I made my own pole mod. It is a great addition to a SF. I don't see myself leaving the poles behind ever.
But for the grace of God, there, I go...
I ordered the pole mod a few days ago, too. I have a pole mod (that I LOVE!) for one of my SF's that I'm pretty sure cost me $45 years ago...so $15 was too good to pass up! I had no clue when I ordered it if it was similar to my other pole mod, but I figured for $15 it was worth the gamble! Reading Brandon's description here just now, it sounds like the pole mod IS what I was hoping it'd be! Can't wait for it to get here so I can try it out! It'll be nice being able to "open" up BOTH of my SuperFlys!
I guess we both decided to take a chance and buy unseen, but I have faith in Warbonnet.
