I made something with wheels to pull in just in case but I am sure we will need the pulks for the way out. Actually, I think it was very nice of mother nature to clear out the spots for our shelter and Turkey's Ramada Inn.

Thanks Aaron for bringing that. I also packed a large fly from an old tent I have.

Everything is in Donk's truck. He will be picking me up at 3:10 and then we will be on our way. Hopefully get there by 4:00 to start the trek into the piney woods!

Have a great time! For the third year, I'm out. I started driving at 4:45am and made it about 40 minutes before turning around. Can't get rid of my cough and stuffy head after 12 days now. I tried to push thru but it's just not a good deal. I give up on planned trips since this ALWAYS happens. Back to spontaneous solo trips.

Now I have to put all this shite away

I have had that happen too. Packed up a bunch of stuff to go camping with family and they bail at the last minute and I have to put everything away again. Sorry you won't make it. Maybe we will see you in the Spring up here.

Looking forward to getting back out. I have knee surgery on Wednesday, so that will keep me in for 4-6 weeks depending on the hiking distance. Something to look forward to in April/May though!

Last night I thought my little guy might have a fever so I was thinking I would have to bail on this one too. I was mentally preparing myself to make that long walk from the car back to the gear closet but he was nice and cool this morning. He was just warm from snuggling with Mom on the couch.
