A foot of snow and a few snow machines to pack it down would make a nicer walk in. What a mess.

Mid-40° and sunny for a few days will blast it down. Sloppy
Looks like it's going to be mostly above freezing (even for lows) for 10 days straight, before and during the trip. Pushing 50° some days coming up. Crazy! I'm glad I didn't start packing because this looks more like a spring type of trip.

I'm sad to say that I won't be able to attend this year.
It has been a great hang the last couple years and I'll miss all the bacon!
You guys have fun and I'll hang with you again I'm sure.

I'm starting to wonder if this will even be a pulkable trip
I may have to break out the big oldschool Kelty pack for this one. The 2" of snow tonight won't do jack after this sun and April temps hit.
Friday: Partly sunny, with a high near 35.
Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 26.
Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 46.
Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 30.
Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 44.
Sunday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 27.
Washington's Birthday: Partly sunny, with a high near 45.
Monday Night: A chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 31.
Tuesday: A chance of rain and snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 45.
Ok so I am seriously thinking about putting some wheels on my pulk. Hopefully the snow won't all disappear. Oh well, I am in even if I have to make two trips to get all my gear there. Can't wait for some peace and quiet in the woods.
Way too much weather stress going on here. Come what may, the hang will be great. If we lose enough snow, Dirk and I might drive in from Hare lane for a lazy 1/2 mile trek.

Replace "stress" with "planning" and we've got a deal!
And since you can't be too prepared, I'm keeping an eye on the weather. Relying on snow for a pulk load is a lot different than "should I bring a rain jacket" or which UQ to take.
That's just my opinion. I always have fun regardless of the weather. You can't change it, but you can definitely deal with it before and during the trip.
I am hanging on till last min, saying if i can make it or not. So far if i can i will be heading up friday night and hiking in then. So as far as meal planning goes, count me out. But if i do make it up, i will for sure pack in the stuff to make the Posole' and bacon of course.
As far as all that weather talk goes some are doing, who cares what it is. What would you do if you diddnt have the internet or tv to look up the weather? If you plan trips like this according to the weather reports, you would never go out. Its Michigan, go out have fun. Cause if weather is crappy, wait 10 min. You might be surprised.
