Hey everyone,
Chad here with a quick update and insight on the direction of C.O.G.S..
As my previous post alluded to, C.O.G.S. came about due to my passion for the outdoors and the enjoyment I get from working with my hands. I started backpacking a little over a year ago and right from the very start, I made all my own gear. The joy and satisfaction I get from using my own gear in the backcountry has been immeasurable and has led me to want to spread that joy to the masses. Knowing that I can have an impact on other peoples escapes into the outdoors and bring them happiness while using my gear is especially important to me.
My aim right now is to offer hammocks, tarps, and what I call possibles bags. I have four series of hammocks, two series of tarps, and two different sizes of possibles bags. The four series of hammocks come in single and double layer and are made from RBSTR's 1.0 oz. HyperD, 1.6 oz. HyperD, 1.6 oz. HyperD OutdoorINK Patterns, and 1.6 oz. HyperD XL. I have two series of tarps, both a summer and a winter, made from either RBSTR's MEMBRANE or 1.1 oz. Silnylon. Also, I have two different size possibles bags that are made out of 210D Dyneema X Grid Ripstop.
What I would like is for someone who wants a completely customized piece of gear but may not have the skills or time necessary to make it themselves, to find the color and/or pattern of fabric and let me take care of the rest. This is truly a one-off kind of opportunity. Through close customer contact and personal communication you will have a hands-on role in the design of your piece of gear. Through close customer contact and continuous updates on the status of orders, my wish is for you to feel like an integral piece of your gear design and purchase.
With that being said, please PM me for prices through HF, or hit me up at the link below to my Face Book page and send me a message over there.
I truly look forward to working with each and everyone of you and hopefully we run into each other out on the trail!
