    Magic Tolkien hang in Sweden

The goal was to test my new Optimus Vega stove and cook a delicious dinner and breakfast in the woods. But as usual. stress, long workdays and a tired brain made me forget the "food" bag at home. Anyway, it was a magic trip in a magic pine forest and I had some time to play with the new Mora Bushcraft knife.

Found some left over Coffee and noodles in the car and decide that it was enough for a two day trip.

    Summary:
The stove worked well in zero degrees (c). Easy to start, good simmer control. It took only a few minutes to boil 4 cups of water. The Mora knife was like all other Mora's. Cheap (about 20 USD), sharp from factory and it had a nice handle.

The Knife and Stove was of course made in Sweden :-)

What a beautiful place to reconnect with nature.

Beautiful place, thanks for sharing! Got to be difficult to leave there when the weekend is over...

Your picture of clover looks a lot like wood sorrel to me. Would have added a nice lemony flavor to your noodles.....

That's true everywhere. Great pictures, definitely reminiscent of Middle Earth... just watch out for Tom, Bert and William...

I am curious about the red coffee cup that is shown in your last photo. I have been using a fold-a-cup in my kit, which I believe was developed for the Swedish army. It is a great cup. The weight is just one ounce, and folds down to 1" tall. It holds an 8 ounce cup of liquid, but no more than that. Perhaps this red cup is a little larger? Is it Swedish made also? Thanks for posting the photos.

Edited to add: I just weighed the Fold-a-Cup with a more accurate scale. The weight is .85 ounces for the "original" Foldacup; made in Sweden.
