    Hello! from Michigan

    Hi everybody,

Wanted to drop on in and say hello. Based in Michigan, and starting to build my backpacking hammock setup after being gifted an ENO DoubleNest last year and liking it more than my stupid tent. Here's what I'm looking at!

    HAMMOCK:
    —Dutch 11', 1.0 Hexon
    -Structural ridgeline
    -Knotty mods
-Fronkey Bug Net for when it's super buggy

    SUSPENSION:
    —Dutch Spiders
    -8' Dyneema straps
    -Continuous Loops

    TARP:
    —WL Tadpole
    -Flyz/reflect-it for ridgeline
    -Tarpworms for corner tieouts

    INSULATION:
—EE Revelation 20* (And also a summer bag for when it barely dips below 60 at night...)
—EE Revolt 20* (And eventually a shorter summer UQ for the same as above...)

Hoping to get most/all of it by next season and spend the whole time hangin'! Looking forward to it and from learning even more from these forums.

Ahhh, I got family in Marietta! And my parents live in Greenville, SC. I'll be doing some hanging down there, too!

Welcome neighbor to the south. I'm up in the northern Oakland County. Lots of Michigan hangers here and if you get the chance, come out to a group hang sometime and meet some folks and see some gear in action before you pull the trigger. We just had one up north a couple weeks ago.

I'm originally from Waterford, so I know the area well! I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for a group hang.

Hey there, I am originally from Michigan myself, welcome to the madness.

That is a mighty fine set up you've got there. I have a Dutch Hexon 1.0 myself, and it is an amazing hammock. You'll like the Fronkey-style bug net. As for quilts, I know EE has a super long wait time for their product. You should look at HammockGear or UGQ also. They make amazing products.
The more I learn about people, the more I like my dog.

I've gone to find myself. If I get back before I return, make sure I stay here.

When I see lovers' names carved into a tree, I don't think it's cute. I think it's strange how so many people take knives on a date.

    Welcome to the chaos

    From another Michigan hanger
    Life's A Journey
It's not to arrive safely at the grave in a well preserved body,
But rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting,
    Woo Hoo!....What a Ride!
