Thankshanging a Black Friday hang

Dropped the question to the Wife today about doing a little Thankshanging on Black Friday.
This is conceptual as I have not taking my whippings for the weekend in the wild with my dog leloo. I have a few trailheads for backpacking in mind depending on the weather. If I get clearance I will post some pictures and chip away at the trip report...

Well, seems like I received permission, as I see everyone is at the edge of thier seat on that one.
Boomer in the GNW will be joining me in the Columbia River gorge, early on Black Friday. As the AMERICAN SWARM HUDDLE AORUND SALES AND DEPARTMENT STORES, Boomer and Big
Jefe Benson Burner will be tailgating heading toward
Benson plateau. Via Benson Eagle trail (One of the toughest rated trails). Going to be slick, cold, wet, and cliff edged. Probably a lot of people will try to avoid the masses, and this is a very popular loop. Whatevs. Eagle Creek. I'll post some pics and try to do. A trip report video. I have issues trying to create a channel on you tube. Maybe we'll see a hammock or two.

We will be staying home, too many crazies out on the road over holidays. The last three trips for a quick Hang have had near misses coming home. The tree coming down right in front of us, then two days later on 101 a UHaul Dingbat driver hit the car in front of us head on. Not sure if the guy survived, he had massive head injuries. The dingbat in the UHaul also had serious injuries, but not life threatening. Then the next Hang, a tree came down right in front of us and having no choice but to veer left and hope for the best. Last night coming back from a Hang North of Lee's Camp we had a Semi pull over on us, he also did the same thing to another vehicle. Nope too many folks driving sloppy or just not paying attention. We are being boring and doing ongoing repairs to our home, I would like to have the insulation in before it gets cold. We are Canadian by choice so we chose to celebrate Thanksgiving back in October with a very nice Hang and a roasted turkey.

Looks like a string of misfortunate instances. Sorry about that. There is some snow and rain in the forecast. the weather man says the rain will: "Be barreling in". I'm just going to walk up this Eagle creek and try to get to Benson Plateau. We may just turn around, just depends. Just looking for a two nighted with some lows to try out the new incubator, Wish I had the Packca.

I am really itchy, want to get out and Hang, just really worried about Fruitcake drivers. Guy in the uhaul is alive, still dicey almost three weeks after crash.
