I'm 245 and just made a hexon wide 1.6 at 11'. So far I really like it. It is firmer then my hyperd 1.6 (less stretch), and my feet don't fall out. The lay is pretty darned flat also. I think the less stretch helps with that.

The hexon is a little rougher feel then a lot of hammock fabric. It's not as silky as the hyperd. It's not bad though. It's not like it's sandpaper!

Thanks for posting this thread. Very curious to hear how things go for you.

I've got a buddy who I'm looking to convert to a hanger and may end up doing a DIY for him. He's 6' 6" and 300-310 lbs depending on the season and how well his wife is feeding him. So I'd been wondering if the 2.4 would be the best choice or if a 1.6 would work.

    Any concerns about stretch?

Tag. This is relevant to my interests as well.

I am 6' 1" and about 260. I love the 1.6 Hexon. I went for the wide in my Hammeck Envy-S. Very comfortable with good support.

I have a 1.6 Hexon wide and have been very impressed with it. I've made two others in hyperd, and prefer the feel of the hexon. I am 260 lbs and have been very happy with the feel vs. heavier fabrics. No feeling of imminent pain which is nice.
